My "positive attitude" realization

Hello all, I really just wanted to share this moment I had today because even if it helps just one person, that is good enough for me!! Add me if you like, I try to be active and motivating on here.

My moment for today:
My fiance was getting ready to leave for a night shift so I was making him a plate of pulled pork sandwiches and he only ate one and a half of the two.. I picked up the plate to clean up (I'm good wife material0 -
and out of my old thoughtless hungry habits I hate the last half sandwich. Immediately I was just like "why did I do that? That was not in todays meal plan and probably way over on calories." After he left I sat around for a while and sulked over my dumb decision and watched it rain outside. And finally I threw on my running shoes, hoodie and leggings and got my *kitten* out on the muddy road!! I only went 1.5 miles due to an uneasy stomach from my gross binge but it felt so good to feel the cool air and get moving! I burned enough calories to make up for the sandwich and I am so much happier now! The old me would have sat there and been mad all night about eating what I shouldn't have while continuing to eat what I shouldn't have. It feels good to have a moment where instead of saying "I always screw up" you say "that's fixable!" I think that difference is what I am always missing in this journey. The moral of my probably boring story:
Positive attitude can take you a long way6 -

Totally not related to your topic, but what's with the *kitten* replacement? Jeez it's way better just to do the ***** when there's an unapproved word used. The kitten thing looks silly and weird.
But good for you for stopping the pity party! I'm doing an extra workout tonight to help give myself some wiggle room for pizza tonight!0 -
I had a similar moment yesterday when my breakfast wound up to be over 500 calories. I just decided that instead of having a "rest" day from exercise, I could hit the treadmill and easily work-off the overage. Plus it felt good.0
