What helps you stay motivated? I was doing well with it, and happy that I have lost some weight in the last month... then got discouraged when I saw myself in pictures over the weekend, and was like UGH! I still have 85 pounds to go.

Try breaking it down into smaller goals instead of letting yourself get overwhelmed. Focus on losing 10 lbs and when you do, celebrate it! Reward yourself with little treats that aren't related to food. Then set and reach your next 10 lb goal. Small successes build momentum and confidence. You can do it!5

I had a much longer post but I accidentally clicked out and lost everything.
My shorter advice is to trust and enjoy the process of losing weight and keep perspective. Don't try to lose it all overnight as that is a recipe for burnout and regression for most people. 85 lbs can seem like a lot. But little by little less than two years from now you can have the whole rest of your life living healthy at your goal weight.
Don't make my mistake. I'm only 25 from my goal but I weighed this amount in 2013. I was constantly all or nothing so it was 1 step forward two steps back. I really regret it because if I would have just stayed the course and even if it was a busy week and just maintained, or lost .25 lbs that weeks or whatever, I could have been chilling at maintenance for a few years now.
Good Luck to you. You can definitely do this.1 -
One thing that has helps me is to look how far you have come vs what you still have to lose. For example I went from never working out and was never active as a child to working out everyday. I went from not caring what I put into my body to eating healthy and only drinking water. Since December I have lost 30 lbs but still have 33 lbs to lose. I give myself mini goals and reward myself with non food related items.1

I'm stubborn. Honestly that's about it. I was invited to a 100 day fitness challenge and didn't want to be one of those ones that couldn't stick to it lol. It's over tomorrow but I've already decided to keep going since I haven't hit all my goals yet.1
