Anyone else out there not getting enough sleep? This challenge is about making sleep a priority from April 15th through April 29th. There is so much research related to how important sleep is for our weight and for our overall physical and mental health. Let's spend two weeks practicing better sleep habits.

Since we may have different reasons for not getting enough zzzzs, let's all create personalized sleep goals. As my worst habit is going to bed too late, my goal is to be in bed with lights out by 11:00pm each night. Here are some additional goal ideas:
  • Improving your relaxation routine before bed (stretching, winding down, reading, etc.).
  • Maintaining a clean, calm, and uncluttered bedroom to promote sleep.
  • Giving yourself a TV cut-off time.
  • Avoiding caffeine in the afternoons and evenings.

Whatever you have in mind, please share your goals and progress.
-Sweet Dreams!

I've been struggling to sleep the last few weeks so I'm keen to make a conscious effort to sleep well.

Thanks for joining, Everyone! I am trying to get ready for tomorrow's start date. It is going to take some planning to get to bed by 11pm, and I'm sure that I won't be able to sleep immediately for the first few days. Now if I could just explain the challenge to my nine month old, I'd be all set.

    Goal: lights out by 11pm
Okay -- made it to bed by 11:06... That is progress. Going to start bedtime routine ten minutes earlier to see if that makes a difference. There were about ten things I wanted to get up and do when I closed my eyes, but I managed to stay in bed.

If you stared the challenge yesterday, how did it go? I'd love to hear your goals and plans.

Too bad, this was a good challenge, imo. And a refreshing change from the typical challenges. You should have "bumped" the thread frequently so that many would see it. I never saw this until today.

Me either, and I probably would have joined too. It was a really good idea, even if it didn't work out at this time.
