Green tea product claims to equal 100 cups of green tea...

My son gets given loads of free samples of health and fitness products, and he gave me a box of this green teax100.

I drink it sometimes because it gives me a nice clean boost of energy, unlike the jittery and hyper effect coffee gives me. Plus I dislike coffee and green tea. I don't drink it for the BS weight loss claims, just for the oomph and it tastes nice and refreshing. I am however not going to buy any when I run out, as $65 for a months supply is absolutely ridiculous!

I am very sceptical that the daily recommended dose of 2 sachets equals 100 cups of green tea... I can't seem to find any info supporting or disputing it. My gut say BS, what do y'all think?

I have no idea about that product, but what I do is buy the large green tea boxes for Iced Tea, where one large tea bag is enough for a 2 liter container of tea, and add two of those to a mug.

And what is the stated benefit of 100 cups of green tea?

It says contains good bacteria. Probiotic
Wouldn't any bacteria be killed when adding hot water?
I really don't believe anything on that package.
Maybe you don't make it with hot water.
Strange product. But I would drink it only if free.

Have you tried a higher quality green tea? Give it one more try?

I just dump it in my cold water bottle. I might be inclined to try the flavoured green teas you guys in America have, but we don't have much variety here at all, I've tried most of them, usually lemon flavoured, and they were blaahh :confounded: I just cant force myself to eat or drink anything I don't like, no matter the health benefits. It's ok, i'll finish the box and be done with it.

Very strange claim. Not something I would ever buy. I'm a fan of regular green tea (iced) and a variety of regular and herbal hot and iced teas. I like the ones that are sold through regular means, not with crazy claims! Glad you got it free.

I'd watch this before taking any of these kinds of supplements:

Try making ordinary green tea with cooler water. Generally 70degrees C is the norm. This way you don't burn the leaves which would make them taste bitter. I pour boiling water into a jug for a minute first before putting it on the tea.
