Encounters with the shake-cult pyramid scheme kind?

Everybody has those people they went to school with that now sells "healthy shakes to get fit" and despite the fact you know they're not a nutritionist they're suddenly a "lifestyle coach".

My mother was at the gym a few months ago and a couple of women started hounding her to join them, thankfully I warned her about these kinds of people years ago so she escaped easily.

Anybody has any stories dealing with these people? I love hearing them.

A "friend" of mine tried for a few days to get me in on the"deal of the year" , one weeks worth

I told her that her deal is my grocery budget fora family of 4 for 2 weeks, and that it's more important for my family to eat healthy than for me to have one week of her shakes.
Also told her that weight watchers is 15 / week and I eat real food. Also that mfp is FREE

Haven't heard from her since and I think she's deleted me off face book. So much it that "friendship"

I haven't had to yet. I know a girl I work with who sells them on FB. Luckily she hasn't bugged me. I hate all those types of businesses. I have a co-worker doing a jewelry show and she wants me to host a show. I'm like what good would it do for me to host one for you? I don't have any female friends and I sure as hell don't have money to waste on jewelry. I am the worst dressed person in the office, I never wear jewelry. Even one knows I'm drowning in medical bills. Hence why I wear the same 5 outfits to work every week. If I can't afford work clothes, I sure as heck can't afford a piece of jewelry I will never wear.

My philosophy about selling stuff is if you have to push people to buy it, then it isn't worth buying. Products worth buying tend to sell themselves.
