    Lower calories doesn't necessarily = healthier. Wine and beer are easier on your liver than liquor. When you take calories, nutrients and strain on organs into consideration, I think wine comes out on top.

    If it takes me 5 years to hit my goals that is OK ... as long as I don't have to give up my weekend wine. I'm OK with that, would feel too deprived if not!

    I don't think your liver can tell the difference between alcohol in wine, beer or liquor. I could be wrong on that though.
