40 30 30 macros

Options
Has anyone done this and noticed a difference in weight loss goals. I have been maintaining on 1500 for a year doing roughly 50 30 20 but have gained within a month since my holidays. Back to tracking but weight not coming down! Would changing macros kick start things?

CICO is more important than macros IMO

I preferred 40-30-30 while losing, but it's not going to make any difference to losses if you are hitting your calories. I did it because I wanted to up protein to maximize muscle retention and also found protein quite satiating.

Does not matter what you choose.
The secret is staying under your daily calorie goal.
I'm high "good" carbs. Lots of fiber and keeps me happy. 60 20 20.

I'm pretty close to 40-30-30. It forces me to eat protein. Otherwise, I'd just live on pasta alone. lol

you could always lower the carbs a bit and increase the protein and fats. i also heard (from Layne Norton, PhD, google him, THE man) that Fiber should really *almost* be a Macro that we count the way we count our fats/carbs/protein because it is so important, esp. for people who are trying to lose weight.

You know, I've been doing 40 30 30 and I've liked it. It's worked well for me so far. Although, I don't track macros too too much, I track calories more.
Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, macros are usually dictated by how your body responds to them.

I'm doing 40 protein, 30 fat, 30 carbs after a very, very long plateau. Just started two weeks ago so I'm still working out the kinks, but my stomach looks amazing. I mean... I'm still a ways from my goal, but the fluff has most definitely gone down. I haven't weighed or measured since I started, so I can't comment on those figures.
