Weight loss and exercise

I have gone from doing very little exercise (a weekly yoga class) to doing c25k 3 times a week ( I'm currently on week 3) as well as walking 3-5 miles twice a week. I seemed to have plateaued with my weighloss. I'm not too worried about that as my main focus is a healthier me and the exercise will pay off. Was just wondering if a plautau is common having gone from no exercise to much more (for me anyway lol)?

Thank you... Okay so maybe I shouldn't call it plautau... I'm happy with how I'm getting on and are not going to stop... :)

Good to hear. It is also very common when people begin an excercise plan to retain some additional water that can mask fat loss.

Once your weight loss progress reaches the point you are, less than 5 kg, less than 10 lb, less than 1 stone, it becomes slower. Measuring inaccuracies in your food log have a larger deleterious effect on your calorie deficit. Even a little salt can mask real progress at fat loss. Be patient. Keep running. Keep walking. Keep doing what you've been doing and you'll reach your goal.

Yup sounds like water retention. This happens to me and my friends every time we start a running program. Very common.

Congratulations on making it to week 3, I don't think I made it past day 1 of week 3.
Agreed, it happens when you start adding something new into your routine, just keep with it!

Thank you... Day 1 was hard but each time it gets easier and it's great to feel the rapid improvement.
