Since this book was recommended multiple times I ordered it. I didnt realize how big it was going to be. Where in the book can I focus on immediately?. I would like to try some new exercises tomorrow.

Part of using MFP and the advice here from many of the people with inspiring success stories is to sit down and read the books and articles that are posted. It is part of the process of educating yourself so (1) you really do understand what you're doing and can actually follow the programs and (2) you begin to arm yourself with evidence-based information so you can resist the copious amount of health and fitness B.S. that is out there.

    TL;DR version: read the book

Read the book, start a new routine next week. In the grand scheme of things, a few days reading won't make any difference to your progress.

It's an extremely easy book to read. I suggest starting at page 1.

    Just start reading it!

I've got it and have read it, I'm not running the programme yet, but I regularly pop back and read bits. I agree with educating yourself - I'm new to lifting and not in any hurry, I spend a lot of time reading so I can gain a better understanding of what I'm doing and how I'm progressing and adapting my lifestyle for better results.

Read the entire book. And in the meantime, just start walking 30 minutes each day.

Learn the activation exercises. Read that part first if you just can't wait. Then you could skip over to the bodyweight section. Once you get organized and set up with that routine, go back to page one and start reading. If you skip directly to the exercises you will miss key points on performing them and progression.

Thanks everyone. I do plan on reading the entire book because I love to learn new things. Its just I do not have a lot of spare time to read this book when I already have to read read and read for school. Plus do homework and write papers. I graduate in may so I will have a lot of time to devote to this learning process. I just wanted to add a few of the glute exercises to my routine today. I found the foot-elevated single leg thrust and the single leg glute bridge. I have to say it was nice to feel it in my booty.

@wishfullthinking79 - how much did the book cost you? I am starting the Best Butt At Home/Bodyweight workout today, but am just going off the template online. I should probably get the book too.

@tiffanylacourse the book was about 23.00 on amazon. I am doing a couple of the exercises while I read it. I won't lie. Some of it I am just skimming. So far it is very interesting.
