Losing 3 lbs in a week?

So I was frustrated last week ( Sunday) when I weighed myself at the gym. The scale said 175! I get on the scale today and it's 172.2 this happens a lot it's like my weight will be the same for several days then all of a sudden It says 2-3 lbs lighter. Why is that?

I always get a big drop a week after my period starts, and a smaller drop after ovulation.0

Water retention from working out. Just natural body fluctuations. Nothing bad, the body just does its own thing. Especially in women, we can 'gain' weight during our time of the month. And weight loss isn't linear- just because it's been a week for us our body doesn't know that.
Try measuring if you want to see progress when the scale doesn't move. I've lost inches after 'gaining' 5 pounds before!0
