It is low salt. Cook some meals from home a few times a week.1

Following it since it also ties in with the heart healthy diet.
Cooking all foods at home. No fast food (take a way) or processed boxed foods.
Many, many people here eat this way.
Just ask your questions.0 -
Yes, eating DASH, lost 55 pounds, walking and weight lifting. No more BP meds, or their nasty side effects!2

Yeah it would tie into the heart healthy diet. Is there anything specific
For the heart healthy diet0 -
Track your sodium and look for salt-free/low sodium foods. Try to eat more veggies and fruit and "less" processed stuff. I still eat a sh!tload of processed foods, but they're mostly lower sodium versions. I do eat more fruits and veggies now. You don't have to make everything from scratch to follow the DASH plan.1

I'm in a controlled study using the DASH diet and it has been very successful for me. Plan to keep up the diet after the study. It is a lifestyle and not a diet.1
