I have a two year old toddler and a full time job. I don't have a normal appetite so it's easy for me to go too pong without eating especially when I am busy at home. It's funny because I actually eat more and better at work lol
Anyway, I know I probably don't eat enough most days but I've been working on it. I've been having a bagel and two boiled eggs for breakfast. I bought fish for lunch at work.

I need suggestions and tips on simple ways to make get calories. I don't like my protein too well so I got ice-cream to make shakes before bed. Has anyone else tried that?

Also..is it terrible if some of my calories come from junk food? I'm trying eat healthier but there are honey buns at work with 600 calories lol

Truly depends on your goal! If you want to gain weight eat everything. If you want to minimize fat gain while gaining watch your food a bit more :)

Chicken alfredo has tons of calories. Also, find a protein shake or weight gainer. You can add oatmeal, bananas, yogurt, and/or peanut butter to add calories. Also, eat bread with a lot of your meals. Stay away from French fries. . Also, milk shakes after meals will shoot up your calorie intake. I hope this helps.

In order to gain weight, you need a consistent surplus. If you want to minimize the amount of fat you gain and maximize the amount of muscle you gain, then you want a small surplus (10 to 15% over maintenance) and a progressive lifting program. If you struggle to get enough calories, the below thread can help. But recognize you should still try to get adequate nutrients for health reasons... so finding a balance is key.
