Help adding food to my diary

Just downloaded the app and I scanned my porridge bag to save to my food diary. The only problem is it's saying I had 100g when I had 50g
Also does it count the milk?
I've just started counting calories and I'm not finding it easy at the moment

You have to watch when you scan foods. What's found in the search is not always accurate. It takes a minute or two to enter it manually. Also, it's not going to include any other added ingredients, such as milk. It's really not hard to track your calories, once you get the hang of it. Give it some time.

Jen, where it says 100g as the serving size, change that to 1 gram and then change the number of servings to 50 since you had 50 grams. Enter the amount of milk you had separately.

Ditto what Cindy01 said. Or you could also enter 0.5 of a serving. Unless the package says "prepared" the calories on it are without the milk. That goes for most packaged foods. As cgvet37 says, sometimes the scanned items are not accurate, so just make sure when you enter it that calorie counts are the same as on the package. I've scanned items and had the entry pop up as something completely different all together. I think I scanned a jar of some sort of sauce and what showed up was for a can of peas or something foolish like that.

Definitely customize the serving size to what you actually ate. It'll get easier the more you log your foods.

Yeah it's right. I had to scroll down to find the right one as the calories were wrong. Still easier than writing it down I guess. Thanks for the advice everyone
