Weekly weigh in and setting calories

Hi! I've just finished my first week logging (yay me!) and I will weigh myself tomorrow. I am expecting about a two pound loss. (I am morbidly obese, so this is safe for me--even a little slow for my first week as in the past I have lost as much as nine. But I choose to see this loss as sensible!)
The queston is: should I adjust my weight manually --or does mfp do that and recalculate the calories for the day accordingly?
Thanks!

MFP should re-calculate every 10lbs0

Do you mean your weight from the scale? If that is what you mean, you need to change your weight under the progress tab.0

I prefer to manually adjust my weight and have MFP recalculate my calories every 5lbs. Waiting until MFP does it at 10lbs is a scary shock of reduced calories.0

Thanks everyone! Appreciate your help--and I'll try to avoid the 10 pound shock!0
