Distance walked/ran

Too many people focus on the distance walked/ran, saying people are cheating etc
everyone has a different stride length, some do not set one, so it defaults to average
yes, people could easily cheat and double/triple or more their stride length
from what I remember, the only stride settings are for walking and running, jogging is neither, but will presume as running
then some say that they work all day so can not possibly do that amount of steps/distance, um hello, not everyone works, works all day, work sitting down etc
what people should be focusing on is the actual number of steps done, personally I couldn't give the monkeys what other people do
if you think someone is cheating, then either unfriend them, or not join challenges that they are in
someone recently said that people must be cheating because it takes them all day to do 26 miles, I don't know if that was a typing error, but if not then all those people running the marathon must be cheating then?
from a website
In terms of average marathon times, in the U.S., In the United States, the median marathon finishing time in 2014 for men in U.S. marathons was 4:19:27 (9:54/mile pace), according to Running USA. The median finishing time for women was 4:44:19 (10:51/mile pace).
at the end of the day, the fitbit is to help you lose weight, so by cheating, you are only cheating yourself, and have wasted your money
I bought my fitbit to help me lost weight, not to cheat and boost my ego

no idea, I suppose a step is a step
I used to use a walking/running machine, then it broke, so now I just jog on the spot whist watching tv
my point was that too many people are focused on the distance done
i.e. I could set my stride length half of what it is and then the distance it says I have done would be doubled, but at the end of the day I would be just cheating myself just to earn badges0 -
