Hello,

Is there anyway to know the calorie count of food without having to log it in the diary?

Thanks all :)

Just look up the food but don't add it. Or there are a number of websites that have searchable databases.

Not sure I understand the question. Most foods will say how many calories they are on the packaging. The app works really well when you log all the food/drink you consume as it tracks carbs/protein/sugar/vitamins etc So you can see if there is something missing or in excess in your diet.

Read the nutrition label and create a hand-written journal? Make mental notes? Many ways to do this without logging, but from experience, logging in MFP is the most efficient and easiest way that I know of

Read the label (when applicable), weigh the food out to match what the label says and that's exactly the calories you're eating.

Check the nutrition label. If you're looking at produce or meats, check their calories on the USDA website.
