Hi everyone,
I am on day two of a very low carb diet (not a king term solution but I have a lot of weight to lose relatively quickly!)
I would love any favorite snack & meals (or recipe links too!)
Right now I am sticking to a 1/4 c berries & walnuts or kale chips
Meals are mainly salads with protein and lemon juice with MCT oil.
All ideas are welcome! TIA

celery with cream cheese/string cheese/pistachios all good snacks.
As for meals, I'm a big fan of quantity over quality. I need lots to make me food to make me full. So, I love boneless skinless chicken breast/thighs with about 300 grams of broccoli/cauliflower drizzled with sugar free ketchup.
Late night snacks I will eat up some shrimp dipped in homemade cocktail sauce or for something sweet I go for the heavy whipping cream with diet root beer for a rootbeer float. Or I make a protein smoothie for dessert (1tbs of vanilla protein powder, 1-2 tbs of peanut butter depending on how many calories I have left for the day and 1-1.5 cups of unsweetened vanilla cashew/almond milk.
Remember even though low carb is awesome, you will still need to watch your caloric intake unless you have 100's to lose.1 -
Oh and also canned fish has zero carbs. Sardines in olive oil might be best since it's the whole fish.1

Check out the Atkins website for their food list and recipes. Whether or not you follow their plan, their recipes and Phase 1 list are very helpful.0

You can make individual turkey meatloafs with a muffin pan. Just add ground turkey, some veggies, onions, eggs, and spices. There's a bunch of recipes here: https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/great-recipes.asp?food=low+carb+turkey+meatloaf0

String cheese, plain almonds, oikos triple zero greek yogurt, ready to drink protein shakes (atkins, eas), cottage cheese, can tuna mixed with light swiss laughing cow cheese, turkey jerky, egg salad just add light mayo and mustard.0
