Losing weight, gaining cellulite

I've been slowly losing weight. I've lost 12 lbs since January 1st. However, I have been noticing more and more cellulite. I've always had some on my butt and back of thighs. But now I have it on, even my shins! Basically my entire legs. Has anyone else dealt with this? Will it go back to how it was before?

You just need to tone now. I ran into a similar problem with some of the crash diets I've tried in the past. Make sure you are working out and replacing fat with muscle. Also use good moisturizers. Your skin needs help too. Add a water reminder app to your daily reminders, and you will see better textures in your skin in about 2 weeks.2

I drink a ton of water! Like 10 of the 16.9oz bottles per day. But I don't exercise nearly enough1

Then find a quick routine to do. Look for online videos for your problem areas. Here's a 10 minute one I do for abs.https://youtube.com/watch?v=r_J8btnIEKQ0

Often, when people go on very low calorie diets they tend to miss out on some nutrients.
Do you take a daily multivitamin? If not consider it.
The antioxidant vitamins in it, like vit C, will help a small amount.

This makes me wonder..I've been getting a lot of bruises lately. All over my body. I wonder if I have low iron. I take a daily multivitamin.0

ps - get your iron levels tested rather than just starting to supplement. I'm anemic and have to supplement aggressively to get my levels into low normal. The amount of iron in a multi wouldn't suffice for me.0 -
bruising can be caused by many things. I get that a lot and my iron is fine. vitamin K deficiencies can cause it,meds can cause bruising, certain vitamins and minerals can cause it,get a full blood workup to rule anything out first. I know a lot of times for me its caused by exercise and I dont even have to bump into anything. dont rule out just one thing. it can be one, or several.0

It's going to change as you go, at least in my experience. I have no cellulite on my thighs or buttocks, never have. That's genetics. But as I've lost weight some dimpling has become visible under my arms (kind of the side boob area, sorry to be graphic!) and across my belly. It is not stable because it's overall appearance and degree of visibility has and continues to change. I do my best to drink water, eat healthy fats, and moisturize with coconut oil. Some people swear by the circulatory stimulation of dry brushing or dry loofah. I imagine that lowering my overall body fat percentage will make a big difference. Not just the early superficial fat loss thru weight loss but actual recompositioning beyond that which will take time and will happen slowly. Keep the faith!0
