There, I fixed it.

I like mostly Cab. I like fine Pinot Noir's, but only the really good stuff cheap Pinot Noir's are horrible.
With cheese, I'll drink any wine.

I've got a 3 litre box of Two Oceans Shiraz sitting in the kitchen calling my name. I don't think I will be able to resist it's sweet seduction.

I LOVE red but it doesn't like me. Gives me fierce anxiety the next day. I have a rack full of high end reds, though, and bust them out with good steak occasionally.

Silver Oak Cabernet - Alexander Valley , not Napa-- so I don't come off like a wine snob.

This is my current favorite cabernet (2010)
    1_1091750_3.jpg

I like my reds; cabernet, merlot, pinor noir. I also like chardonnay.

IMO there is no such thing as a "pointless" wine thread. :drinker:

Checking in ... Reds for me, el cheapo 5 litre casks seem to suit my low-rent tastes :)

I do have a large bottle of Cooper's Extra Stout (beer) that I'm looking forward to tonight though, it's been sitting in the fridge all week ...

This. Totally this. My favorite (so far) is Deseño. Delicious!

White zin is like "beginners wine". It's the first wine I ever had and at the time I thought it was good. Needless to say I haven't had white zin in many years now.

I didn't drink Zinfandel for years because of White Zin. But, I finally learned that there's a big difference. Lol.

    Exactly!

I just mix this with a bottle of NyQuil and let it sit on the kitchen counter for 6 months.

I'll raise a glass on behalf of Chardonnays. I do not enjoy drinks at room temperature, so that leaves me n the white wine side of the glass. My current fave is Cupcake Chardonnay.

Growing up, we had grapevines growing on our property. My parents always were making homemade wine.

I've never met a riesling I didn't like... hands down, my fav. I also like sweet reds and dry and semi-dry whites, but the dry, robust reds are a little much for me. I tried Zombie Zin which is a red zin and it's WAY too bold for my taste. Mixes nicely with flavored sparkling water, though. I like moscato every now and then as a treat, and I do love champagne!
