Post Pregnancy Loose Skin

Options
I know that having loose skin after having a baby is normal, but I'm 16 months postpartum, 22 years old, and have terribly loose skin on my abdomen! I've been drinking lots of water, exercising, and have tried every firming cream out there. Does anyone have any helpful tips as to how to get the elasticity back? Or is it just going to take some time

36 years later, I still have loose skin from my children. Skin has no muscles, so exercising doesn't do much good.

Give it time. It may or may not snap back.

I'm saving for surgery to get rid of mine.

Do you have diastasis? I have a 4 finger separation and I'm trying to close it so that the lose skin and belly bulge would go away. Maybe check if you have diastasis.

There's a hormone released during pregnancy that relaxes the elasticity of your skin to accommodate for the extra fluid and the baby. It may never fully go away, but being young helps. Your skin might bounce back more quickly. Genetics is also a big factor.

16 months later, most probably it is not going anywhere.
