What is the most embarrassing thing you've done at the gym?

Today I did it. I knew it was bound to happen at some point. Today I farted in front of my hunky trainer. I wanted to run and hide under one of the machines.

HA! I fell off a treadmill once because I was paying more attention to the girl's butt in yoga pants in front of me. My foot hit a non-moving part on the treadmill and off I went!11

Oh man... Farts galore, getting stuck in the leg press machine after a failed set, getting trapped under the barbell after a failed bench and having to do the roll of shame, taking too many plates at once off one side of the barbell on the squat rack causing the other side to fall and drop plates loudly, spraying lucozade all over myself, ripping my pants during squats... I've embarassed myself plenty of times.
A friend of mine once puked into a bin in the middle of the gym; that was a good one.12 -
Went to sit on a stability ball in front of all the people working out on cardio machines, ball popped out from under me and down I went.12

I've never been to a gym in my life because I'm too afraid some guy will stare at my *kitten* in yoga pants, and I'll accidentally let one rip.6 -

WTF? I wrote the word for butt, but it changed to kitten. That's effing hilarious!6 -
Tried to do step class once. Not coordinated enough, it's the reason I lift weights. Missed the entire step, sent it flying, and I fell. 84 year old man next to me was rocking it though.5

Lol, yeah I've done that one as well, flat on my back, ball went rolling away.0 -
The stability ball has almost rolled away from me a couple of times. Members look at me when I use it like "is she going to go flying this time?"1

I hit my head on the end of an olympic bar and gashed my scalp. Gushed blood all over the gym. It looked like a murder scene5

I was on the stair climber (the escalator to nowhere) and tripped on a step. I almost went flying off of it when I misjudged the last step getting off of it.0

I was teaching a step class and realised my leotard was on back to front (many years ago)4

When I first started working out, my legs weren't very strong and they were very sore from the previous days' workout. I was able to get down on the rowing machine and was tearing it up. When I was done, I tripped over the bar almost fell into the guy on one side of me and over corrected myself and almost fell on the girl on the other side of me. I could swear everyone was watching to see if the large lady was going to crush someone.2

WOW now that I look at this, I've embarrassed my self many times. LOL3

I've definitely been in the shoes of stripping weights off the barbell on the squat rack. Loud crash, zero fukks were given though, and I just carried on as though nothing happened.1 -
Crying at the end of yoga class. Twice.1
-
THAT'S what that loud noise was! I heard a huge CRASH, looked at my trainer and said "sounds like someone just broke some weights".0
-
I haven't taken a yoga class. I figure I make a big enough of an *kitten* of myself just doing my regular routine.0

No, it didn't.

Misjudged the height of the bar before taking it off the squat rack. Took it off fine, couldn't get it back on...1

I had to stop working out for 6 weeks due to a surgery..my first day back, I tried to run at my regular pace...a few minutes in...I blacked out and the treadmill shot me off the end..or so I am told. I woke up on the floor at the end of the treadmill...I got up and got right back on it to prove that I was tough.7

Aside from walking into things (been doing it my whole life, it doesn't embarrass me anymore), making eye contact with someone I was "observing". Busted!8
-
Fell backwards when stretching a bit too much...just laughed it off0

Disappointed in the lack of wardrobe malfunctions in this thread.1

Left my eye glasses at home because I was wearing prescription sunglasses. I looked like a strung out mom wearing sunglasses on the elliptical.8

Oh ... almost forgot. Trying to learn to do snatches with a pvc pipe landed on my rear several times. I think it was due to it weighing next to nothing or I'm just a klutz.0

Falling asleep in child's pose on the yoga mat... FYI I snore super loudly7

Once when I was younger i was at a store that sold gym equipment and other stuff. I went on the treadmill and went flying across the room.
Few days ago i was trying one of the pull up type machines. Got on the area for your knees but it went down with me instead of staying at that level and it pushed my shirt up.0 -
Forgetting instuctor's name....someone whose class I'd been attending for years, chit-chatted with, laughed with, I knew her, she knew me.... Went to introduce her to a new gym member, totally drew a blank. Was pretty red-faced to admit & ask her what her name was again. I was Totally embarrassed. Instructor took it like a pro & in stride.2
-
I closed my eyes... on the treadmill... and when I opened them, I was falling! But that's not it! My instincts kicked in JUUUUST before I hit the ground and I moved my legs as fast I could, against the momentum of myself falling and the speed of the treadmill, until I was upright again. I must have looked like a cartoon slipping in place. I was like a car over-correcting a swerve into the opposite lane or something... it was not my finest moment.7
