Adding exercise on MFP

I just recently switched from a Fitbit Charge to a Fitbit Charge HR. I was adding my treadmill time and calories burned to MFP manually and now I'm confused. Should I be doing that or does it automatically adjust with the Fitbit information?

If you're synced, you should let Fitbit cover all your steps and not log any step-based exercise.1

So if I've been synced with Fitbit AND logging my treadmill info on MFP, have I been doubling up?0

Not as long as you were putting in the correct times you walked, but MFP did override what Fitbit read in that time frame1
