Excuse for what??0

What are we excusing?0
-
For not dieting0
-
Well for exercise mine's "I really don't feel like it, and if I'm under my cals, it really doesn't matter."
I just really hate exercising alone. It's SO boring.
With counting calories I don't really have an excuse. It's a little harder with my husband (he's tall and skinny), but when he's gone from home, it's so much easier and I'm only shopping for one, so I really don't have any excuses.0 -
Right now, my excuse is I hurt my back.
I'm still running and staying at or below cals, but I rrrrrreally fight it. So maybe I'm not using it as an excuse, but we are going on 3wks of pain and I'm REALLY wanting to use it to not do a damn thing and eat all the goodies haha0 -
For some reason it didn't post correctly I had wrote lists like its low calorie so I can have two!0

Ah. Well, I'm not dieting because I'm in maintenance. So no excuses here0 -
I've always said half my fat was medical issues (probably closer to a third, but it is rooted in truth) but I am wholly responsible for the other half by eating too much. Now that the medical issues are being dealt with, it's all on me, and I'm working my butt off in the gym and controlling my food every single day.1

Hungover...2
-
It's so tiring and stressful being ridiculously ridiculously ridiculously good-looking.1
-
'I'll do better tomorrow'
'I already screwed up for today so let's eat everything in the fridge!'
'I had a long day'
My usual excuses0 -
Because I'm always hungry and I often see things I want, but they don't fit within my calorie or macro goals. Historically I've given in too easily.0
-
I don't feel the need to excuse any of my food choices.
If I go over goal so be it...I don't need to excuse it.
If I go over maintenance I don't need to excuse it.
Makes eating sound "bad".3 -
I'm lazy and food is yummy!1
-
My past excuse was lack of preparation
I overcame this one by scheduling my meal prep. My fridge is full of weighed out and planned foods0 -
I never had an excuse, it was basically binge eating disorder where I was compelled to eat terrible things well past the point of being full until I was sick on a daily basis from overeating. Took everything I had to get over that for a second time in three years.0

It should not be considered a diet. It is a life style change. If you just temporarily "diet" then go back to your old ways then you have essentially undone everything that you have worked for.3

That's a good point, diet just feels so...temporary due to the negative connotations you get from the fad weight loss techniques that fail very quickly. It has to be looked at as a major lifestyle change, that's how I've approached it.0 -

Ha, I definitely use this one a lot to avoid a tough workout. I usually try to get at least a good walk in, as I also tend to eat a lot of pizza when I'm hungover...1 -

Yeah, even if its just "well, Im only feeling about 83% well today" lol1 -
For food: "I'd really like to eat that/try that"
For exercise: "I really don't want to/I'd like to do something else."
That's it. I don't pathologize my relationship with food and exercise, as much as is humanly possible. I've been down that road and it's horrendous.0 -
There is always tomorrow! Maybe!0
