Has anyone used yayog and seen good results? Also does anyone have advice on how to add one of those workouts on the mfp diary.

I've tried a number of body weight regimes but finally managed to get this book a few weeks ago. I am finding it very effective. There are lots of exercises (and variants to make things harder as you progress). There are a number of suggested routines with good progression and you really can tailor your own routines very easily.
If you want to log on MFP just enter it as callisthenics (either under strength for a record only or cardio if you want a very rough indication of calories)

I've been pretty happy with it as it suits my requirements. I travel a lot for work and my main sport is endurance running.

The main issue is that it does need some pretty robust furniture or other opportunities.

I love You Are Your Own Gym!

Read the book first, the got the app for $4 a few years ago. I saw amazing results! Mark Lauren is the real deal. His military and martial arts training makes him an expert in bodyweight training and fitness.

I think the app is the best way to go. There are timers for all of the exercises and sets. It keeps a history of your workouts and has videos to show you how to do every exercise. And you can customize the workouts (like if there is an exercise you can't do at the moment, you can substitute another one that works the same muscle groups).

Now I'm using Mark Lauren's Bodyweight Trainer TRX-style straps. They cost way less than TRX and are way easier to anchor. Their construction is top-notch. I needed them for some PT with my shoulder but now I've incorporated them directly into my YAYOG workouts.

I'm also interested in his other videos on posture, mobility, and stretching.

All my life, I been defeated by useless info on exercising. I'd plateau and then give up. But when I discovered Mark Lauren's program and finally learned about muscle confusion, the value of high protein diets, and compound exercises, it was like the fitness Heavens opened up to me! Seriously, I never made so much progress and found myself wanting to do so much more than when I came across this program.

Being able to do the monkey bars with my kid at my age because of YAYOG is priceless!

The way I posted the workouts to MFP was simply as "bodyweight training" (it comes up as a category if you search on it). I used to do some fancy calculations to get the calories burned as close as possible. But now I have a Fitbit Charge HR and I let the Fitbit app send the calories burned over to MFP.

    Hope this info helps!
