Burning calories on rest days?

Does anyone have any advice/tips on ways I can burn some extra calories on my rest days other than walking? I hate feeling as though I'm just not doing anything, but I don't want to do anything strenuous because I want my muscles to recover as quickly as possible. Any tips?

Any kind of activity that you don't do on a regular basis. Play sports, tennis, basketball, racquetball or something. Heck, hit the swimming pool for some laps or just do some yard work. Anything where you are mobile works.0

"Rest day" doesn't mean you can't move. Do whatever you want--just not something that mimics the stresses of your workout. To me, a "rest day" still includes a 4 mile walk with the dog--at least.0
