Back of Left Calf Sore

I've used icyhot, tylenol medicine for sore muscles, and today tried foam rolling it along with calf stretches but is it still sore. It's directly near the middle wear my bone is at. Any ideas on what is wrong or what I should do to help it heal?
Also why would my left leg have more problems with soreness than my right leg?

Also should add that it's been about 4 days now.0

What were you doing when you hurt it? Sounds like a pulled muscle. Ice and rest it?0

Just the normal elliptical cardio and then later went dancing.0

Also if it is a pulled muscle is that a good thing? That way it heals and gets stronger?0

I don't think it works like that. If you pulled it, its just going to be tender until it heals. You can't really speed healing up with that. I'd stay off it until it doesn't hurt. Use ice, rest it, compression, and elevation as needed. Don't do any elliptical or running.0

Said it on another thread and I'll repeat it here, Contrast Bath. It will help scoot recovery along.0
