How do you prevent yourself from porking at a dinner party? I'm really OK avoiding sweets. I'm even making a requested cake for the party. But the rest is going to be homemade Mexican food. Tips to keep strong during a few hours of this???

    Eat before you go so you aren't that hungry?

    Although, I think for homemade mexican I'd just eat what I want and do an extra session at the gym.

    I agree, eat before you go and just try small samples of the food. Not whole servings but a spoon full of this and that. And if anyone asks, just say I'm not that hungry.

    I usually make a taco salad or similar out of the offerings. Half of the plate veggies, 1/4 meat, 1/4 starch. Do the best you can and enjoy your time with friends
