Fatiguing during lower body exercises

I am halfway through ChaLEAN Extreme. For those not familiar, the program has me lifting heavier dumbells with the goal of reaching fatigue at the 8th or 12th rep (depending in the phase). Anyway, I have a hard time feeling like I am reaching fatigue when it comes to lower body but I find it challenging to hold much more weight in my hands to complete to moves. Like for a squat, I feel like my legs can handle more than 35 lbs in each hand but my arms have a hard time holding the weight too long and I honestly do not have much heavier equipment anyway.
I try to put the weight in my heels and I do feel it more for single leg squats but is there something else I could be missing in my form that his not making the squat challenging enough at that weight?

Your arms will get stronger over time, so keep at it. If your grip is giving out, you might add some supplementary grip exercises (Youtube).

Get some lifting straps or they even make hooks0
