My favorite is when there's some big fat winded cop trying to chase a spry young kid hopping fences and such. Always makes me wonder why that's even allowed in law enforcement.

But honestly, I'm just here because the OP and handcuffs look like they'd go super well together. Hot stuff!

Although I agree cops should maintain a certain level of physical fitness and health, I assure you overweight officers didn't look like that in the academy. They would have never been given a badge with how rigorous the academy is. But that "big fat winded cop" I'm sure did his fair share of serving on the force.

I watch when I'm with my brother who is a cop. His stories are usually more entertaining though

Extended length if employment is no excuse for poor job performance. You should be expected to maintain a certain level of optimal fitness the entire duration of service.

Weird...kind of along these lines... I just went to Panda Express and there were two NCPD officers in front of me (whaaa? They don't even sell dounuts there!). They both looked really fit (as in yowzah!). They both ordered double veggies and black pepper chicken and were talking about trying to be down 6 pounds by some training thing.

None... At least none that complied with the officers. Funny how that works.

A lot on the show is how most Cops usually act while working. Unfortunately it would be great to see the 90% of good work by cops, rather than the incidents that show them in a bad light. Not defending bad behavior by some cops, but there seem to be many more good cops than bad.

Well I mean they're not going to show the cops misbehaving and they obviously know cameras are on them too

This is not a "cop bashing" thread. Take that *kitten* somewhere else.

Being a police officer is one of the toughest professions you can have. Imagine having to protect the same people who want nothing more than to see you get hurt or die, having to take the verbal abuse day in and day out from *kitten* who claim harassment when these men and women are just doing their job. Go ahead and bring up 'police brutality'....90% of the time the force used is 1000% justified. Yes, there are bad eggs, as with any profession, but the good far outweigh the bad. No one remembers the good, the bad is what makes headlines. You have a problem with law enforcement, don't dial 911 - handle that *kitten* yourself.

    Well said

I just think of the old school programme with the theme tune "bad boys bad boys, what you gonna do when they come for you." Then this narrator with a voice filled with testosterone says "cops is filmed on location".
