Hey catman. I think smoothies are a great choice for breakfast. I'm sipping one right now while listening to some tunes and I'm feeling pumped.
I make high calorie smoothies so you can half or third the recipe if you're interested in making it.
6 bananas
giant handful of spinach
1 small apple
2 cups frozen mango
2 cups frozen blueberries
1 tbl chia seeds
celery stalk
20 oz water (to thin it out. personal preference.)

I make a "protein" smoothie without the use of protein powder
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup frozen berries/strawberries/mango/whatever frozen fruit blend you like
1 cup lowfat skyr or greek yogurt
1/2 cup almond/coconut/soy milk0 -
frozen fruit - berries/mango/pineapple/peach
Greek yogurt
Coconut water
Chia seeds
Flax seeds
Hemp seeds
Spinach if I have it0 -
Canned pumpkin frozen in an ice cube tray- 5 or6 cubes
Vanilla Greek yogurt 1/2 cup
Banana
Coffee 6 oz
Low fat milk 4 oz
Blend until very smooth
Sprinkle with cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
Makes 2 small or 1 large serving0 -
Carnation instant breakfast chocolate flavor 1/2 packet
Frozen banana
frozen raspberries
Greek yogurt
8 oz skim milk0 -
Mine get loaded up: 1/2 banana, 1 cup spinach, 1/3 cup frozen mangos, 1/3 cup frozen berries (usually it's blueberry), 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, and a single serving of each: chia seeds, ground flax seed, hemp hearts, bee pollen. Add unsweetened almond milk, water, ice cubes. Serves 2.
Once you get yourself a base smoothie recipe you like it's easy to mix it up. Cheers!0 -
2 cups nonfat dairy milk or soy milk
I cup kale
I/2 cup frozen blueberries
I scoop unflavored protein powder
I T cocoa powder
I/2 T Spirulina
1/2 T olive oil

I drink half of it right away, and the other half when I get to work. It keeps me full until lunch.
