Down 3.4 pounds after switching exercise?

Options
Hi all. I have been dieting for more than 2 months and averaging a loss of about 5 lbs a month- even though accd to my Tdee deficit I should have been losing more. Two weeks ago I started a boot camp class and this week- in one week- I'm down 3.4 lbs. I am doing nothing differently than this. accd to my heart rate monitor, the class burns as many cals as my normal exercise- outside biking or spin class, which I still
Do, but less frequently. Could the change in exercise resulted in this loss?

Biking or spinning only really affect your legs. Bootcamp will hit your overall body so there's more intensity. HRM's don't work accurately with anaerobic exercise so you may be actually burning LESS than what you do spinning or biking, however with bootcamp you may have increased your RMR slightly which helps to increase fat burn at rest. Also you may be sweating more in bootcamp which decreases water retention.
