Eat high calorie foods that are not bulky like cheese, butter, avocado, and but butters.1

Nuts, avocados, nut butters, high fiber/protein breads. You can do it.0

I have the same issue here. I'm the same height and weight.0

Peanut butter0

Buy trail mix it's cheap and a cup is usually 800+ calories with lots of protein. Just keep up your sit ups because they also contain a lot of fat.0

Hard to believe people would recommend eating cheese on a website with "fit" in the title.0

If you're full from eating then drink them. ~300 calories in 500ml glass of whole milk.0

What is wrong with cheese?

Eat protein as well! Black beans, tofu, Greek yogurt, eggs (or just egg whites), tilapia, chicken, salmon....to build muscle (and gain weight) you have to have the right tools to give your body.
To be the true definition of "fit," don't eat just to reach your calorie goal. Just like the recent blot post, all calories are technically not created equal. Eat to your health, not to simply gain weight.0 -
Drink your calories. Drink calorie laden smoothies, milk shakes, protein shakes, etc.. .
Eat tablespoons of nut butters like peanut butter. This will up calories in heart beat.0 -

But butters usually aren't made for human consumption. (kidding with you)
Agree with this. High calorie, low volume foods. Usually high fat foods will get you there since fats are 9 calories per gram before including the protein/carb calories.2 -

If the problem is you are too full, try a fruit smoothie. Milk, bananas, peanut butter. Yum0

I used to have trouble getting enough calories but I heard about this stuff called Apetamin and it really helps. Apetamin is kind of a vitamin, it's a syrup, and its purpose is pretty much to boost your appetite so you're able to consume more calories which will help you gain weight. After 4 days I had gained 8 pounds. I lost 2 pounds when I got sick because I stopped taking it and wasn't eating, but now I have my super crazy high appetite back and I can easily take in at least 4,000 calories a day. I haven't weighed myself in a few days so I'm not too sure where I stand now but I do see a little bit of a difference in my legs just from how my boots fit.0

You can smoke and be fit too. That doesn't mean it's a good recommendation0 -

You can also be fit and a serial killer. Doesn't mean you have a good argument1 -

Interesting strawman. I asserted that on a site related to fitness, a food high in saturated fat and sodium, while being devoid of fiber, isn't a healthy recommendation (in my opnion). I never stated that being "fit" was all or nothing; he/she did. Then you go and relate it to something completely arbitrary.0 -

If you're looking to gain muscle mass,
try to have only around, 25g to 35g of processed/white sugar a day and find some good exercises.
About three weeks ago I was 89 pounds, now I weigh 97 pounds and I'm still gaining weight.
I'm an active person, so I'm pretty sure that I've gained muscle.
Now that I have myfittnesspal, I'm hoping I can gain and track my weight more efficiently.0 -
Damn, busted as a serial killer. Need a chocolate chip cookie0

Chicken is devoid of fiber, and eggs are high in sodium... does that make them bad? Saturated fats, especially considering its from a natural source rather than ultra processed foods, are not going to make you unhealthy. Sodium is necessary, especially while active, as its an electrolyte.
And as always, dietary context matters more than one or two components that make up a small portion of your daily intake.1 -
Hmm reading this thread,
laughed so hard I may have burnt so much energy... Thanks!
Question: since I'm loving logging nutrition and exercise in MFP should i log the 200 calories used reading the above?1
