Constantly sore

I've started exercising recently. Only cardio at this point. I go walking or jogging or runnig, sometimes I'll do a kickboxing type video. I stretch before and after every workout and I am constantly sore. I feel like I've been hobbling around non-stop for the last two weeks. Is this normal? If it's all just a part of the process then that's cool I just wanted to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.

Have you been allowing yourself some down time to recover (days off)?
Rest is as important as exercise.

Do you warm down, or do you go straight from full exertion to stopped? If the latter try working at a much lower intensity at the end of the workout.

In my experience, that can happen in the first few weeks. It should get better soon. :)

Thanks y'all. I took yesterday off and didn't do anything. Some days I only walk 30 minutes and others are more exerting.

I definitely do a cool down. I'm 219 lbs so I can't do crazy intense workouts right now.
