Hi guys! Please share me some of the weight loss tips, i am 58kgs, lost 3 kgs since june 17, 2013. Workout, diet, thats what i do. But i believe what i am doing is not healthy and temporary loss of fat only.. I want a permanent one..
I wake up at around 1pm in the afternoon. Eat sandwich (whole wheat bread with cucumber ) , sometimes veggie meat (made of soy).. Then at 5pm i play badminton, do some rounds of bicycle.. After that i workout for 2hours. (Dance, treadmill, ab exercises, kickboxing,) ... Then eat my dinner , sometimes Skyflakes Fit with some veggie meat (fried with the use of one tblsp of olive oil) ...sometimes sandwich again. Then at midnight when i get hungry i eat banana, then drink water. Then sleep at around 4-5am in the morning.
Am i dong wrong? Guide me, please.
P. S. i lost 3kilos in the first week of my exercise and diet (june 24). Till then, i am still stuck with the same number of weight. 58kg. I had my gallbladder removed last 2009, since then i started gaining weight, so muchhhh... And now i believe the process of my weight loss iss too much slowwww!

You pr waking up a bit late,
I'm not a dietician or anything but I would recommend waking up earlier, (10am) having breakfast, any kind of egg (I would recommend an omelette with lts of veggies) with 1 or 2 slices of toast. This will keep you full for a long time so you wouldn't have to snack. Duri h this time just drink lots of ice cold water. Then at around 3pm, before badminton have some lunch: protein and vegtables and when you return have your dinner, again some sort of protein and vegtables. By doing this you should be able to get to bed earlier. Sleeping early consistently helps you lose weight, you shouldn't feel the need to feel hungry at midnight, if you are just drink water.
Hope this helps. Good luck0 -
You seem to be a fairly active girl, so I would think that probably a better sleeping and eating schedule would help. It might help to go to bed by midnight and get up at 7 or 8 in the morning, rather than sleeping at odd hours. Plus, it'll make your day feel longer so you can do more during the day. Also, it's good to eat every 3 or 4 hours, even if it's something small. If you are up earlier in the morning, it will he easier to space out those 5 or 6 meals.
Make sure to eat something at least an hour before working out, and eat/drink something with low fat high protein within an hour afterwards. Protein helps build muscle and maintain it. Just make sure you're eating enough calories; playing badminton, biking, and then going for 2 additional hours of more high intensity activities is nothing to shake a stick at, and it burns a lot.
Once you have more of a schedule down, you really just have to stick to it. Fitness is a slow process; you will get there, it just takes patience. I have to tell myself that every day-I've been stuck at 108 pounds for a good month now, but I've been slowly replacing fat with muscle. So just don't give up on yourself, and know that not everything can be judged by what the scale tells you.0 -
Thank you for ur reply. But waking up at midnight is a must for me, due to my work. Aww. Plus, since last month i have been drinking warm water only. Because i heard that drinking cold water makes the fat hard to leave your body. Is it not so?0

Thanks, thats something really encouraging. Patience, yeah! Is it fine to sleep at 4am and wake up at 9-10am? And just do my workout (2hrs one) in the morning with empty stomach or one banana? Its a necessity for me to be up at midnight, thats why. Plus even if i eat 5-6 small meals, what i don't understand is what meals to eat?0 -
Are you getting enough protein? It sounds like you are a vegetarian. I am not educated in this field. Just make sure you get at least 60g of protein, You may need more like 80+ with your activity.
You may need to eat more. How many calories are you consuming?
You have lost quite a bit in less than a month. A healthy rate. You have less to lose, so it's going to take longer to lose what you have. You look great as you are, you need to just be patient.
In that amount of time I have lost less than you and I am much heavier than you are.
You may want to try strength training, establishing some muscle will get rid of some of the flabby skin we women DESPISE.0 -

Hi, yes i am a vegetArian.. I dont really count my calorie intake... But i think its 1000 , mostly lesser than it. Hmm, and even if i eat more, the thing thats bothering me, is, what should i eat?0 -
First, you have to count calories. It is a true eye opener. Don't get too aggressive in the beginning, just log for a couple days to see what you are really eating.
Second, it doesn't matter when you eat or what your sleep schedule is. People work nights, you work nights, that's your schedule. Unless the reason the Chinese are thinner than Americans is because they are on a 12 hour different schedule...hmm... No seriously, doesn't matter.
You are 58 kilo. How tall are you? The closer you are to a healthy weight for your height, it gets harder to lose weight.
Last, the water. Go ahead and drink cold. It takes more calories to warm it up to your body temperature so you can absorb it. I haven't ever heard this "cold water freezes fat" thing, and from my limited knowledge of human anatomy it sounds like total hogwash. You don't keep fat in your stomach, by the time the water leaves it's warm. It doesn't come into contact with your belly fat at all due to all the organs in the area.
Hope that helps!0 -
Hi, i am 5"2 tall. Alright, i'd go on to drinking cold water. Thank youuu!0

What are the amount of calories a person with 58kgs should consume, btw? My goal is to reach 50-53kgs on or before 13th august.0
-
You are in "ideal weight range" ( http://www.brianmac.co.uk/idealw.htm ) so losing that much will be time consuming and difficult. I suggest you reign it in to losing about 3 kilo by mid August, it's more realistic.
Your BMR according to the calculator (http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ ) is 1400 cal/day. You should eat more than that, that's how many calories it should take you to keep your heart going and other organs running in a day.0 -
Thank you dear...0

Since I am not vegetarian, I can't help you on what kinda meals you should have, Perhaps go to the nutrition section of this forum and ask for advice from other vegetarians.
I would incorporation some yogurt (high in protein) and fish and nuts. All these are healthy food for you. I eat plenty of these myself.
Make sure you log your calories, if you are in fact only consuming 1,000 calories (and doing the activity you say you are doing) you are eating too little.
Best thing to do is make all your stuff at home0 -
Okay dear, thank you very much,0
