Fitbit Steps vs exercise added to dairy?

I have my Fitbit connected to MFP and it adjusts the calories from the step each day, I also do Crossfit but it only counts the steps, do I add something to the exercise part of my dairy as well?

It's not counting steps. It's counting your daily calorie burn and subtracting your TDEE (according to MFP). Click on the adjustment in your diary and you can see how it got the number.
  • What Fitbit do you have? If it measures your heart rate, you'll get a pretty accurate calories burned result. If not, if you're not moving your arms heaps during your crossfit workout, you won't be getting a very accurate calories burned. For example, if you're doing heaps of push ups, your wrist isn't moving, so your Fitbit wouldn't be counting any steps, but your heart rate will be high, so if it's measuring your heart rate, that exercise will be recorded. Fitbits that don't measure heart rate are still good, but really only for people who walk or run. Anything where your arms aren't moving doesn't get counted.

Not strictly true, the bands are far more intelligent than that. Walk 100 steps with your arms static by your sides and it will still count them although accuracy may suffer a little.
They don't count very well (if at all) if your pushing a trolley/pushchair though.
