Slim Calf's

Hello, Im new to MFP. and working really hard at upping my calls ( i under-eat, not over eat) ... and upping my exercise too. I was a ballet dancer as a teen, im now 26. and I really miss ballet, so you-tubed ballet workouts. I have picked one that i am doing every evening, its very basic, just until i get my core muscles and balance back. But im upset to say i can not easily stand in first position .... ( feet out turned heels together) ...... I knew i was plump, my bum, thighs, hips and belly have been troubling me for some time, but i had not realized my calf's had got big!! :( I can not stand in first position without my calf's being completely squished against each other.

Does anybody know any good exercises to slim the calf's down ?? x

As a rider I have long lean calfs. I do a lot Achilles tendon stretches by standing on the edge of a step with my heels off the back, then I push my heels down so I'm balanced on my toes. At first I had to hold onto the door frame.

This gives you a nice stretch.

It took about 10 months to really see a difference. But I also have to do this while riding at the walk, trot and canter now, again after about 10 months.
