So I went to cuba and got very sick... i have not been able to keep any food in my body since last friday ... i spent a day in the hospital and they had me on an IV and when they discharged me they said stay on a liquid diet of what ever i can tolerate and to follow up with my family doctor.
i cant see my doctor until monday and im starving ... i have tried soy milk, pudding, juices and broths ... the only thing that doesn't send me running to the washroom at this point is water and gatorade
any ideas on what i can try to drink that will give me enough nourishment to stop me from feeling so weak and dizzy?

ya, anything that isnt completely liquid just comes out right away ...
oatmeal, baby food, rice, apples, jello, pudding, bread... it just comes right out0 -
Eat bland foods. Rice, bananas, oatmeal, crackers, potatoes toast...unfortunately, until it's out of your system, the frequent potty trips may not quit.
So sorry you're sick. Hope you kick it soon.0 -
Blend bananas and ice. It's cold and soothing and may open up your esophagus better. Or just bananas and water. We call it "banana mylk" and it'd be great source of minerals for you.. while still being a liquid.
Try making homemade popsicles with fruit juice and tea?0 -
You could also do popsicles with peanut butter and bananas and milk (soy, almond, or regular) blended up? This sounds crazy, but if you can tolerate apple cider vinegar or something bitter and astringent it may activate your digestive enzymes which may be low, hence the vomiting?0

clear juices like apple or cranberry. no orange juice because of the pulp. lightly carbonated soda-very small sips and take your time! spend an hour on it if necessary. tea with some honey or sugar for calories. plain broth. lemonade from a powder-again no pulp. popsicles. think things with a water texture/consistency, as that seems to be what you can keep down right now.
here's a link that goes over a clear liquid diet. it sounds like right now that's what you can handle.

good luck!
(by the way i'm a nurse so i'm basing it off what you might get in a hospital after a surgery or other GI problems)0 -
take a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar and mix it in a cold glass of water and drink. That will help with any infection or bacteria you have in your stomach. It works instantly for food poisoning and the stomach flu...Im sure it will help you.0

Perhaps you could try a broth or a tomato soup?0

broth, jello, full sugar drinks0
