I have finally decided to lose the 40 lbs I gained during a crazy custody fight a couple of years back. Just for reference, prior to that I had lost about 30lbs and kept it off for more than 4 years before I allowed stress eating to creep in and I threw exercise out the window. When I lost weight before I used a bodymedia tracker and went with the CiCO philosophy and it worked fine.

So now I have a Fitbit charge HR. I have been wearing it off and on for about a year although I have only been sporadic about exercise and diet during that time. I am 39 years old, currently weigh 166 lbs. I was at 172 at my highest right after the holidays.

When I am not trying to lose weight I am sedentary. My average daily burn (from Fitbit) was 1800-2100 per day. Some days I am a little active cleaning or walking around at work. Most days are closer to the 1800 mark.

As of 4/16 I committed to exercising daily and getting in enough NEAT to increase my burn to around 2700 which would allow me to eat about 1700 and leave a 1000 calorie deficit. On 4/16 I weighed 169...on 4/20 my weight dropped to 166 and has since bounced around between 166-167.

I weigh everything I eat. I only measure liquids and only in correct measuring cups. I have been trying to be sure that I am selecting the correct database items or entering my own.

I remember from before that sometimes my weight would hold steady for 1-2 weeks then suddenly drop. So a drop could be coming again soon.

Since the scale hasn't changed though I thought I would open my diary and pop over and get feedback. Am I just being impatient or do I need to tweak things? TIA

Lisa

It's only been eight days. There are a multitude of factors that can mask weight loss. Since you've been exercising daily since the 16th, you're probably holding some water weight. Give it some time.

8 days, don't panic. I always look at the last 3 weeks. Especially if you are a lady, some ladies only lose weight during one week a month thanks to our monthly visitor. Your body is trying to change drastically, and needs some time to adapt.
