NSVs

I've always struggled with weight. I had lost quite a bit of weight before I got married and was down to a 16. That year, aside from gaining the "cooking good food for my new husband" weight, I also had to deal with my mom losing her battle with breast cancer in november of that year. I probably put on 40-50 lbs in 2011.
I have lost about 13 lbs since the beginning of this year. It doesn't seem like much, but it has been enough to make some pretty serious changes. I used to deal with acne constantly, and it reached a boiling point last fall. I changed my eating and by the end of the year, my face was clearing up. My face has been mostly clear for all of 2013. And now that I've got a bit of a tan (thanks to allmy outdoor exercising), I am now more comfortable without makeup than I am with it for the first time in my adult life. I've been off work all week and have worn makeup twice, I think. It is so freeing!
Another NSV is that my jeans are looser, I fit into clothes I haven't worn since 2011. I rode my bike 20 miles yesterday and can run 1.5 miles with a 1-block walk break. I'm feeling good about my progress. I wore shorts to my family's 4th of July party and my mother-in-law took some pictures of me and tagged me in them on facebook. I didn't look like a fat slob in shorts.
Anyway... I'm glad that even though the lbs are slow, the progress is still there.
