I read someone earlier saying to google TDEE and I did, and wow, what a better easier site and process. I had previously said I was a "light exerciser" but actually I have been doing at least the treadmill every day for 30 min to an hour, every other day treadmill and lifting. If I click on "moderate exerciser" which might be closer to what I am doing, I pick up an additional 330 calories that I can eat (based on my age and current weight). I will err on the side of "light" though, but it is amazing what working out 'just a little more' will get us. Add in cutting a 'little' out of the diet, and the swings become big especially for a long term weight loss plan.

Just kind of interesting. I am stating the obvious here, but it is finally making more sense to me.

But the TDEE sight is awesome for quick checking what difference working out and weight change has on the daily caloric consumption.

    This one?

    I just tried this one.

Yep, it's great to do exercise, for the health benefits AND the extra calories we get to eat.

Keep in mind those sites are as much of an estimate as MFP.

I prefer this calculation as it uses my data. It is very simplistic but works well.

Total calories consumed+(total lbs lost x3500)/#days

Typically I use a 21 day cycle for this and I do use a food scale so my total calories consumed is pretty accurate.
