How much oil to log when frying tofu?

I like to pan fry tofu, but I'm not sure how much oil to log. I put a lot of oil in the pan, but there's some left over after I pull the tofu out. Should I measure volume of oil before and after cooking, and add the difference to my log? Does the tofu even absorb enough oil for it to matter? Thanks in advance.

Oh, not sure if it makes a difference, but I use firm or extra firm tofu when I can get it. Thanks!0

Yes, measure the oil before adding to the pan, and then measure it again after you remove the Tofu. That will tell you how much was absorbed. Marinades work much the same way.
Oil is very calorie dense, so my guess is yes it will matter even if the amount is small.0 -
measure before and after cooking.
I personally dry fry my tofu, otherwise it's way too many calories. And i think the result is pretty dang similar.

My entire life changed when I got an air fryer. It makes everything so much simpler... no oil... no messy measuring... less calories. I fell in love instantly and will never look back.0

I log everything that I put in the pan. Don't use as much if you typically have an excessive amount left over when you're done. I've fried it with no oil and it works just fine.1

Same here. I just use the smallest amount possible and log it all.0 -

THANK YOU for this. I like fried tofu, but have been avoiding it because of the oil factor.0 -
Tofu has a lot of fat. You could put it into the pan without any added oil.0

For anything cooked in a pan I use cooking spray now instead of oil. It is fat free and calorie free.0
