When is it safe to start working out again after having the flu?

Unless you've got a medical condition, when you feel up to it. Just start really slow, and take a couple of weeks to ramp up to where you were - after a true case of the flu, even a slow walk is a lot of work.1

I think I will start with light walking on the treadmill next week and then try to go back to my normal routine.
I learned my lesson with pushing too hard. I went back to work and did too much. By the time I got home I had broken out in hives because of the stress I put my body through.
