Hi all I'm new to this and I hoping to shift some weight. I gained a lot of weight when I gave up smoking. Finding it very hard to find any motivation as I always seem to feel tired. So you lovely ladies and gentlemen please send me some get up and go thank you

Hey debbi I know how I feel with the quitting smoking. It will get easier. Add me for additional support :)

Welcome, Debbz. Stay with it... we're all in this together.

What works for me is healthy substitution. Instead of crunchy chips, I have crunchy carrots or an apple. Instead of ice cream, Greek yogurt tastes wonderful. Since food was a substitute for smoking for you, perhaps decide on another substitute for food (like walking instead of having a snack) or eating a healthy snack in place of popcorn. It took me a few weeks of back & forth before I could do that & not still dream of chips, but boosting my exercise is what kicked it over the edge & it's been far easier than I'd thought. I guess the same endorphin rush I had from carbs is now substituted by exercise.

Hope that helps. Let us know how you're doing along the way.
