Initial calorie intake

When I first set this up I was given a set amount of calories to eat. As I lose weight will those calories be adjusted?

It depends. If the calorie allowance that was given to you was 1200 calories, it will never adjust (eating this little is not recommended anyway). If you were given a bigger allowance, the calories will adjust down as you lose weight (and record it in the app) until your calories hit the 1200 wall then change will halt.
