Recipe Books
Hi there,
I was just wondering if people have a favourite cookbook they often refer too?
Cooking and looking for new recipes is a hobby to me. This week I have meal planned form The Hairy Dieters (Hairy Bikers) 3 cookbooks. Breakfast, lunch and dinner combine come in around 900 calories each day, which is great as this leaves me 300 for coffees and a snack!
Today I have made Banana & Sultana muffins for my breakfasts Monday - Saturday which are only 120 calories each, another example is Lamb Hotpot at 438 cals and Chicken & Mushroom Risotto at 317 cals.
If there are any recommendations you have I'd love to hear them.
Thanks, h

The Chicken & Mushroom Risotto sounds delicious!
The cookbook that was a lifesaver when I first started counting calories was the Taste of Home Comfort Food Diet Cookbook: New Family Classics Collection (second volume in the Comfort Food Diet series). After 4 years there are still some recipes I turn to from time to time. California pizza (tortilla base with tomatoes, mozzarella, Italian seasoning), Sweet and Sour Chicken (recipe here: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/favorite-sweet-and-sour-chicken) and Stove-top Beef n' Shells are some of my favorites.
Most of my favorite cookbooks, though, aren't written around calories/healthy diet, I just modify the recipes to work for me. One of my very favorite cookbooks that I used, when I was first learning to cook and bake is an old Farm Journal's Country Cookbook (I prefer a certain edition, but can't recall it right now).

Vegan under pressure
All pressure cookers come with a manual that explains how to cook meats. Vegan under pressure explains how to cook everything else.
Fantastic guidelines and ideas- author has researched methods & timing for best results.
Love how quick, easy, and energy efficient it is to make dinner in a pressure cooker with an induction burner.1 -
