First week and no loss.

I'm gutted. My first week using MFP. Think it's a brilliant device, but one week on, was looking forward to my weigh in and I haven't lost an ounce!
Has anyone else experienced this?

It's common. Weight loss isn't linear, and it doesn't always happen right away. If you've started exercising for the first time, you are likely retaining water and glycogen in your muscles, which could offset any losses. Without being able to see your diary (which is set to private currently), more specific advice cannot be offered.0

This. Changes are often undergone on the inside before they show up on the scale...it may take a few weeks. Also, don't just weigh. Take "before" photos and measure!!! You will be glad you did later. Losing fat and toning up your muscles may not show up on a scale but are definitely changes you want...0 -
Also, many people find that the less you have to lose, the longer it takes to lose each pound.0

Thanks all, I did have a bit of a blowout week before I started, so maybe a stay the same, rather than a gain was a good thing!0

Hi!!! Hang in there...I started fitness pal & livefitrevolution.org @ the same time. I don't own scales but i use measuring tape. The first 2-3 weeks, were not only tough since i made big changes in my meals and snacks, I saw no measurable results. BUT my clothes were starting to fit a little better & by somewhere in week three, i could just "tell" things were working! I run about three days a week now & enjoy a kettlebell workout 2 days/wk... And a side note, i had started training w/the C25K free app in April and didn't change what I consumed. Results: Nada except I felt healthier and began sleeping really well. (FYI, I hated running & it was hard but I really enjoy the challenge of running now). I did't see real changes until I got my calorie intake under control just like livefitrevolution.org says: 80% of your results is following a nutritional plan!
DON'T STOP!!!0
