I have an appointment with my Obgyn, but I'm feeling nervous in the meantime, and I was wondering if anyone has had spotting between their periods since being on a diet?

I had my annual Obgyn visit in August, everything was fine, and a month later (having been on a diet for 2 months at that point) I had some spotting in between periods, not much, and it happened two months in a row this time, so they want me to come in to check me out... I'm really hoping it's just hormonal, my grandmother just got diagnosed with uterine cancer a couple weeks ago and was having heavy bleeding, so I'm so nervous! I'm down 52 pounds since August, still have 50ish more to go

I've had spotting around ovulation pretty much all my life. I wouldn't worry too much!

Yes. Any change in diet will do that to ya. I get spotting about 2 or 3 days early and then I don't full on start until I"m 1 or 2 days late. I just chock it up to my diet change.

Either. I even thought it was my period last month, but it stopped after 2 days then came back for real 10 days later.

But it doesn't hurt to get it checked just in case.

I've always had a little spotting around ovulation. Due to fibroids, I now have more spotting, and a menstrual cup has been wonderful: http://gladrags.com/product/238/The-Moon-Cup.html

Yes and it's driving me completely crazy. It's normal when you have a lot of weight to lose from my understanding.

My dr thinks it's more like a polyp or fibroid, I don't understand why our bodies have to torture us when we're doing something good for it!
