I've been doing some at home strength training using a 15lb kettle-bell. I woke up today sore and a pound heavier. I'm guessing the soreness indicates inflammation which may cause my weight to go up?? Am I right?

You're building muscle, get a tape and take measurements when you weigh, when doing strength training, weight is only a small fraction of the picture (and will eventually become mostly irrelevant to you)0
