You've made the decision that something needs to be done and you've started today. Don't look back. I'm on my third diet, started last week and have lost 6lbs already. This is it for me, no looking back or slipping into old ways as I get into a depressive state. I wish you luck and hope you achieve your goals, it's a he'll of a journey but when we get there its totally worth it. I'm wondering do you have trouble maintaining your weight once you get where you want to be? That's been my downfall, twice!

One thing that has worked for me is that I do not call my nutrition as a diet. I am just more self concious on the calorie intake. Try to eat healthier but as long as I keep it on or under my advised daily calorie consumption.
To me, diets do not work. What really works is to exercise, eat well, and try to have fun while doing it. When I exercise, I am very competitive, even on an elliptical machine. I usually look at the people next to me and try to do it harder, more intense, and faster if possible. That keeps my mind focused.
Another thing that works for me is to stop eating after 7pm, the latest 8pm.
Keep up a positive mind, and you will do it. The most satisfying thing is when your clothes fit better, and people start noticing.
Thank you for your support, and if you need it too, let's reciprocate and try to hekp each other out.
