Supplements and Cleanses

It's been two whole weeks of diet and intense exercise since I've lost a single pound. In fact I have gained ONE! I have lost 16 pounds so far and I'm still 20-25 pounds away from my goal weight so i still have a ways to go. I have been researching some cleanses and supplements, but I'm getting good and bad opinions on supplements in general. Not only that they don't work, but also that they are bad for you. Has anyone actually tried anything that has worked and doesn't have mutant side effects. ;-) Thanks guys!

I don't have any advice regarding supplements but just want to say I understand how frustrating it can be to stay the same or go up when you have been good all week. It has happened to me this week. I had 2 really good weeks and nothing at all this week even though I have not once gone over my calorie allowance and have exercised. I am just going to keep going and trust that the weight will start to shift again soon.
Have you measured yourself as you sometimes lose inches even though the weight does not change?
Hope you start seeing results again soon.0 -
My opinion is that it just takes time. I stay away from supplements for sure and as for the cleanse...I did one once not by choice, but for my colonoscopy...NOT FUN! I did lose 6 pounds, but I was starving the whole time and so after my procedure I gained it back. My cleanse was 6 days...I don't know, I think that just doing the losing weight thing the right way is better. I know it is hard as I have not lost in a while, but it will stay off if we do it the right way. And if you think about how long our weight just slowly creeps up...it's takes awile to loose it...We must have patience in this process....GOOD LUCK.0

I just completed the Jillian Michael's 7 day Cleanse & Detox and it seemed to work well for me. I lost 3 pounds that week of water weight and other junk and just feel lighter and cleaner on the inside. Plus it come with a 7 day probiotic replenishment which is what you need after a detox. I recommend it.0

I was at a brick wall for a month and a half. sitting on 192lbs... ick!
My mom sells Advocare, so I managed to get my hands on some products. It helped me break down that wall!. Im now at 188.4!
With supplements you really have to do research. Find what is right for you and go for it!0 -
Thanks guys I have lost about a half an inch in my waist so it is coming off. Just confused as to why the numbers are not going down.0
